With a Focus on SMEs: NBB Collaborates with Roland Berger to Launch “Transformation Pulse” Report
The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB)’s Group Financial Restructuring team has collaborated with Roland Berger, a leading European consultancy, to publish the “Transformation Pulse” Report – a joint survey conducted by both entities. The survey-based study aims to shed light on recent and planned transformation efforts, with a focus on SMEs and firms based in the Kingdom.
As part of the bank’s efforts to expand beyond its line-up of banking services, the report explores various growth expectations within the region and industry, along with a number of programmes that highlight the need for transformation. Through this collaboration, both parties provided industry insights beneficial to various sectors and areas of interest in both the Kingdom and beyond.
Commenting on the joint-report, Bruce Wade, Chief Executive – Group Financial Restructuring at NBB, said: “We are pleased to be collaborating with Roland Berger, a pioneer in management consulting, to bring forward our Transformation Pulse survey. The study highlights the importance of SMEs as a key area for growth within the bank, with the addition of extending our insights beyond the local industry. Through this partnership, we will continue to launch the survey on an annual basis cementing our commitment towards thoughtful leadership, enabling access to notable information for years to come.”
On his end, Sassan Hatam, Partner at Roland Berger, said: “Together with NBB, we envisioned this joint study to serve as platform for dialogue with the private sector and the broader stakeholder ecosystem, to define transformation priorities and ways to foster sustainable growth. The only constant is the need for change. We would be delighted to engage in conversations about how to drive sustainable results along the transformation journey.”
NBB’s Group Financial Restructuring team offers advice for both Bahrain and the GCC markets, with a primary focus on corporate clients, in addition to selective Commercial Banking clients. This includes acting as an independent advisor to companies facing challenges, as well as for companies where NBB is a creditor, as the bank strives to maintain its position as a thought leader in the industry.
