The ninth edition of StartUp Bahrain Pitch spotlights four diverse innovative Bahraini startups
StartUp Bahrain, the leading platform for startups in the Kingdom of Bahrain, recently concluded the ninth edition of the highly anticipated StartUp Bahrain Pitch series with the presence of Her Excellency Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Board Member of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). The event was organized in collaboration with key industry stakeholders, including the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB). This edition of the series featured a keynote speech by, Khalid Machchate, disruptive technologies expert and Royal Policy Advisor at Morocco’s Special Commission on the Development Model, who shared insights and key learnings from his entrepreneurial journey.
The event showcased four Bahraini startups presenting their innovative ideas to a distinguished panel of judges featuring local and regional experts, including: Hala Ebrahim, Investment Director at Antler, Ahmad Sufian, General Partner at Blackbox & Author, Ali Abussaud, Founding Managing Partner at HALA Ventures, Yasser AlGhamdi, Cyber Security GM (CISO) and Khalid Machchate.
The four Bahraini rising startups featured at this event have showcased great potential for success, engaging both judges and the audience with their pitches. The startups included: Unipal, an application that provides exclusive student benefits through an innovative digital student ID; Lumofy, an integrated learning experience platform that assists businesses in identifying, curating, utilizing, and monitoring their human capital competencies; doobi, an online laundry subscription platform built smartly for busy people, and Tamarran, a booking application with a wide range of service providers in the sports activities domain.
Following a thorough evaluation of each startup, the judging panel ultimately announced Lumofy, founded by Ahmed Faraj, as the first-place winner.
