Mishal Alhellow, chairman of the Technology & Business Society (TBS), commented: we thank Flat6Labs for Collaborating with us in organizing this webinar. It is crucial to discuss the challenges of e-commerce at a national level and engage with various businesses from different sectors to understand some businesses’ issues. As the government has declared its intention to capitalize on the digital economy, it’s essential to accelerate our efforts in developing a national e-commerce framework. E-commerce can contribute to our GDP by exporting services/products within the region and globally, to achieve this goal, we need to facilitate vital elements within the e-commerce ecosystem, such as logistics, shipments, regulations, and payments.
Commenting on the discussion, Saleh Abbas, the Managing Director of Flat6Labs for Bahrain said: ‘We are excited to partner with the Technology and Business Society and plan to continue creating content with the goal of initiating conversations on key topics surrounding the challenges faced by founders in the startup ecosystem with the aim to support them and raise awareness of possible solutions.’
The panel discussion covered the main challenges to E-Commerce businesses in the country such as competition, consumer satisfaction, product quality management, logistics, regulations, and more. Over 45 participants attended the session and engaged with the topic by asking questions and sharing their experiences. Among the attendees were existing players in the E-Commerce field, aspiring entrepreneurs as well as individuals interested in learning more about this sector.
