Huawei launched Seeds for the Future 2022 Program in Bahrain to extend the access to unique experience on technology innovation
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs and Ministry of Labor, Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, has launched the latest edition of its annual education program “Seeds for the Future 2022” in Bahrain, designed to drive and enhance local talent development. This year’s program saw participation of more than 40 students from Injaz Bahrain and leading Universities such as University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, Ahlia University, University of Technology Bahrain, and Applied Science University.
During the eight-day ‘Seeds for the Future’ program, participants will receive entry-level and advanced courses on key technologies, including Fifth-generation (5G), cloud computing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which will drive their innovation awareness in the ICT field and hone their professional development. To enrich their learning experience, students will have the chance to experience traditional and modern Chinese culture and also explore Huawei exhibition halls, campuses, and stores virtually to have a better view about Huawei’s history and technological developments. Students also have an opportunity to compete for prizes in a global contest that pits their innovations against technological projects from their global peers.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Ethan Sun, CEO of Huawei Bahrain, said: “Huawei operates as an International leading ICT company, we feel responsible to guide, train and empower the young talents to have a better career path. We’re happy to provide this learning platform to the students who are interested in ICT field to build their digital talent skills and support them to become the future leaders that are capable of fulfilling the digital transformation journey of their countries. He advised all the students to embrace the change, possess some technical skills and certifications, seize every single opportunity, and keep learning constantly.”
Initiated since 2008, Seeds for the Future” is Huawei’s flagship and long-term global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. As of June 2021, the program has been implemented in 137 countries and regions, reaching 12,413 students from over 500 universities, and gaining endorsement from 189 heads of state and high-level government officials globally. In 2021, the program attracted over 3,500 students from 118 countries, where a total of 38 students participated from Bahrain.”
