Hope Ventures and Private Investors Invest USD 32k in Jomon for Food on the Third Episode of Beban Season 2
Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund and producers of Beban TV show, co-invests alongside the private sector a total of USD 32k in ‘Jomon for Food’ on the third episode of Beban Season 2, which can be streamed on Shahid platform for free, or watched at 6 PM on Bahrain TV and 9:30 PM on Alrai TV.
Through episode 3 of Beban season 2, Jomon for Food, a Bahrain-based facility that produces alternative dairy products, such as vegan cheese, labneh, yogurt, and butter, founded by Maryam Almansoori, raised USD 32k from Hope Ventures and the private sector comprising of Mr. Khalid Alamin, Chief Executive Officer of BAFCO Group, and Mrs. Roaya Saleh, President and Founder of RS Management WLL and Owner and Founder of Villa Mamas Restaurants.
Commenting on the raised investment, Maryam Almansoori, Founder and CEO of Jomon for Food, shared: “Jomon started as a home business after I had decided to cut off dairy two years prior and is now the first facility for making vegan cheese in the Kingdom of Bahrain since 2019. I am proud of this milestone, as it is a testament to the validity of my product and the trust that the strategic investors have in local businesses and their scalability. I look forward to utilizing their wealth of knowledge in the F&B sector to further develop the business and expand regionally and internationally.”

Khalid Alamin commented on his investment alongside Hope Ventures: “My participation in Beban season 2 comes after being part of the show’s first season and benefitting from the ease of access to promising local opportunities in various sectors, especially F&B, in which I specialize. I am pleased to be investing alongside Hope Ventures in Jomon for Food, and I look forward to contributing with my experience in the sector to empower the business to expand internationally.”
On her part, Roaya Saleh also commented: “Being on Beban was a thrilling experience, as it acquainted me with remarkable local opportunities that I did not have access to previously. As a chef and owner of restaurants all over the globe, I take pride in homegrown businesses in the F&B sector, which is why I am excited to be co-investing in Jomon, and I have great faith in their potential to put the Kingdom of Bahrain on the map.”
Alongside Mrs. Roaya Saleh and Mr. Khalid Alamin, episode 3’s panel of investors also included Mr. Moslem Asad, CEO of Asad Sons Co. The panel was moderated by His Excellency Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayed, Chairman of Hope Fund, who was also representing Hope Ventures’ investments.
