Brinc MENA IoT Accelerator Program celebrated it’s 5th cohort demo day virtually for the first time ever on Wednesday 26th of August 2020, using Brinc’s Platform https://demoday.brinc.io/. Committed to supporting the startups and connecting them with the largest number of investors, Brinc hosted the Virtual Demo Day on their platform to showcase a world of global IoT and connected hardware innovative solutions; investors and entrepreneurship enthusiasts can enjoy all the startups’ pitches safely from the comfort of their own homes. The 5th Demo Day is in partnership with Tamkeen, MOICT, Batelco, EDB, and Startup Bahrain.
Brinc Demo Day is a powerful event for investors, corporate strategists, government partners, and the press to network with Brinc’s latest cohort of startup game-changers. It is a one-stop destination to unveil the latest global IoT & Hardware Solutions that highly contribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the MENA region’s digital transformation and modernization.
On his part, Mr. Osama Al Arrayed, the Undersecretary of Industry Affairs at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism has endorsed Brinc’s role in nourishing IoT startups and the ecosystem in Bahrain and the role of the accelerated teams in contributing to economic growth and technology development in the Kingdom and congratulated the cohort of startups by stating that: “With no doubt, our meeting today is considered as an interpretation of your impressive achievements and contributions to the fast-growing startup ecosystem in the Kingdom of Bahrain and region by building innovative solutions in IoT”. He also stated that: “it is worth highlighting the dynamic efforts of Brinc MENA in supporting startups and nurturing innovation during an exceptional time as those efforts would not have been possible without the coordination of the entirety of the ecosystem in Bahrain.”
Also, Brinc’s 5th cohort of startup game-changers pitched their products and services virtually offering potential solutions to some of the world’s most prominent challenges. Kickstarting from Bahrain as a launchpad to offer their innovative products and services to the world. The startups are benefiting from the country’s infrastructure and Brinc’s program. The program is designed to equip them with the necessary resources needed to de-risk their startups and expand regionally and globally. This is a vigorous testament to the advancement of Bahrain’s startup ecosystem.
The virtual event demonstrated the four key foundations of Brinc’s Investment Thesis focused on improving how we feel, where we live, how we move, and what we eat. Transforming the Brinc Demo Day to a virtual experience has exposed the startups to a wide range of global, regional, and local investors coming together to view the game-changing IoT and Hardware novel solutions.
Brinc’s four portfolio companies for the 5th cohort include:
- Xeleqt Technologies is the first IOT-powered platform that helps and allows business owners to dynamically manage, mobilize, and match their assets and resources with every customer-demand through the vehicle and asset tracking, a seamless platform, smart locks, safety protocols, and embedded interaction-policies.
- IRIS Technologies is building the future of precision beekeeping. The smart bee device is hardware fully equipped with sensing capabilities, specially designed to meet beekeepers’ needs: efficiency, security, and better profitability that comes through sustainability.
