Bahraini Business Delegation Visits Japan and South Korea for Investment Opportunities
Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce (MOIC), Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, accompanied by the Minister of Sustainable Development, Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, leads a delegation from Bahrain visiting Japan and South Korea on May 5-12.
The visit, organized by MOIC and supported by Bahrain Economic Development Board, is aimed at adding value across a multi-year investment horizon in alignment with the Economic Recovery Plan of delivering sustainable benefits to Bahrain’s investment climate, economy, and society.
In addition to promoting high-impact investment opportunities in the country, the visit also aims to strengthen the economic and trade ties with the two countries by focusing on economic sectors like manufacturing, logistics, financial services, information and communication technology, and tourism. The visit is supported by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nogaholding, Alba, Export Bahrain, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), and Bahrain-based Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill (GARMCO).
The Bahrain EDB has planned two major events in Tokyo which include an exclusive roundtable with top executives in collaboration with the Japan-Bahrain Economic Cooperation Association (JBECA) and a business forum that will be co-hosted by the Japan External Trade Organization titled, “Accessing Opportunities in MENA via Bahrain”.
In South Korea, a forum and networking event will be held to highlight investment opportunities in collaboration with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). The forum will feature a fireside chat to discuss Bahrain’s strategic value in enabling companies to access markets in the MENA region and beyond.
