Bahrain and India pledge start-up ties
More than 20 start-ups from India attended an interaction event in Bahrain last 7th March 2019 at the Indian Embassy. Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha highlighted the emerging opportunities between India and Bahrain in the arena of start-ups.
The event, ‘Interaction: Start-up India and Bahrain’, included the participation of a delegation of 24 start-ups on a visit to Bahrain. The event was attended by EDB officials, professionals from various sectors such as banking, agriculture and the food industry, along with Fintech and prominent Bahraini businessmen and government officials.
They took part in the ‘Start-up Bahrain Week’ organised by the Economic Development Board (EDB) to bring together and connect entrepreneurs. Members of the delegation also briefed participants about their start-ups which ranged from healthcare, cyber security, Fintech, travel and data management among others.
