Al Tamimi & Company leads celebration on Bahrain’s success in FinTech
Al Tamimi & Company, one of the region’s most prominent law firms, celebrated its fifth year of
operations in parallel with the growth of FinTech in Bahrain on the 30th of October at Four Seasons
Bahrain Bay.
The event was attended by over a hundred clients and top-ranking officials in the government, business
and finance sectors. A formal reception was followed by discussions led by FinTech practitioners and
experts such as: Mr. Khalid Saad, CEO, FinTech Bay; Mr. Haroun Khwaja, Senior Associate, Technology
Media & Telecommunications, Al Tamimi & Company; Mr. Gaby El Hakim, Chief Legal Officer, National
Bank of Bahrain; and Mr. Shiraz Ali, CEO, Finzo; while Mr. Geoff Cooke of Oxford Business Group served
as the moderator of the discussions.
Al Tamimi & Company started its operations in Bahrain in 2014 after a 30-year presence in the region.

Since FinTech and digital transformation continue to dominate the corporate agenda nowadays, it
served as the central theme of the panel discussion with issues pertaining to “How Bahrain positioned
itself as a center for FinTech”, “Has Bahrain attained its goals in the FinTech sector” and “How do you
see the future of FinTech in Bahrain”.
