Expats who wish to sponsor their family in Bahrain must be earning at least BD400 Per month: Interior Minister
The minimum monthly income threshold for expatriates seeking entry visas or residency permits for family members has been increased to BD400 from BD250. Interior Minister Lieutenant – General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa had decided that the monthly income of an expatriate should not be less than BD400 when sponsoring a husband, wife, or children. To sponsor children over the age of 24 or parents, expatriates must have a minimum monthly income of BD 1000 and a valid health insurance policy. According to the new ruling, the Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs (NPRA) can exclude certain cases based on the discretion of each case individually.
