SAUDI ARABIA TO INVEST BD 1.8 BILLION IN BAHRAIN
Saudi Arabia plans to invest BD 1.8 billion in different economic sectors in Bahrain, according to the Saudi Minister of Investment, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Faleh.
An allocation has been made to set up a dedicated fund for investments in Bahrain, in accordance with the instructions of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia’s investment plans were announced during the 5th meeting of the joint Bahraini-Saudi Business Council, and are intended to achieve economic integration, particularly in the private sector, between the two countries, according to Minister Al Faleh.
Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Nass, and Saudi Arabia’s Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Otaishan, the Head of the Saudi side at the Bahrain-Saudi Joint Business Council, co-chaired the meeting, which was attended by Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Bahrain’s Transportation and Telecommunications Minister, Hasan bin Mujeb Al Huwaizi, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, representatives from both sides of the joint council, and several officials.
