As the primary sponsor for the third consecutive year, NBB saw a number of its team members participate in the forum alongside over 300 regional and international business leaders and mentorship experts. Prior to the forum, members of the Bank also took part in two key workshops, titled, “How to Design Effective Mentorship Programs for your Organisation” and “How to Build your Network and Advance your Career on LinkedIn”. The workshops aimed to accelerate the growth of human capital by providing practical training experience led by key industry professionals.
Commencing with a keynote address from Her Highness Sheikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Member of the Supreme Council for Women and Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, the mentorship event also featured a number of speakers from various sectors engaging in panel discussions including NBB speakers Dana Buheji, Group Chief Human Resources & Sustainability Officer in the panel “Embedding Mentorship into Organisational Culture” and Hisham Abu Alfateh, Head of Corporate Communications moderating the panel “Mentorship for Entrepreneurs & SMEs”. The sessions focused on topics such as “Mentorship to Employability”, “Mentorship vs Coaching”, “Reverse Mentorship”, and “Mentorship for Entrepreneurs and SMEs”. The programme concluded with a speed mentoring event with senior executives, giving participants the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge from prominent business leaders.
The Bank’s commitment to the growth of its human capital is underscored by its various internal initiatives including its RISE and INSPIRE programmes. With a focus on grooming future industry leaders, NBB continues to provide training and mentorship development opportunities across its organisational workforce.
