NBB Achieves ISO 45001:2018 Certification
The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has successfully attained the ISO 45001:2018 certification in Occupational Health & Safety Management System. Earlier this year, the Bank partnered with HA Consultancies, one of the leading consultancies and training service providers in Bahrain, and is now the first bank in the Gulf to successfully achieve the certification.
The Bank continues to adopt the necessary procedures to ensure the provision of a healthy and safe working environment for its employees and stakeholders. NBB is guided by its sustainability pillar ‘Nurturing Our Workforce’ as part of the Bank’s sustainability framework, which underscores the Bank’s ongoing commitment towards investing in the wellbeing of its staff members, customers, visitors, contractors and tenants.
NBB has aligned its Health and Safety framework with the ISO 45001:2018’s requirements, further demonstrating the Bank’s dedication to adopting international best practices across its workplace and business operations. This has also enabled NBB to enhance its existing Health and Safety framework, as well as identify and mitigate any hazards and risks by offering a structured approach to maintaining and improving employee wellbeing and protecting the Bank’s assets and various stakeholders.
Commenting on the certification, Haitham Seyadi, NBB Group Head – Property, Procurement & Administration at NBB, said: “NBB has taken significant strides to ensure the safety and wellbeing of its team members.
